Artwork Rental Terms & Conditions

At Casa México, we are committed to providing a premium and transparent artwork rental experience. By renting artwork from Casa México, customers agree to the following terms:

1. Ownership

All rented artworks remain the exclusive property of Casa México and/or the represented artist at all times unless purchased in full.

2. Rental Term

Artwork rental applies only for the selected rental period purchased:

  • 6 Weeks

  • 6 Months

  • 12 Months

The rental term begins on the date of delivery or collection.

3. Rental Area

Artwork rental services are currently available only within Metropolitan Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

4. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required prior to delivery or collection:

  • Artwork valued up to AUD 3,500 → AUD 500

  • Artwork valued AUD 3,501–6,000 → AUD 750

  • Artwork valued above AUD 6,000 → AUD 1,000

Security deposits are refunded after return inspection, provided the artwork is returned in original condition.

5. Delivery and Collection

Delivery and return transport fees are charged separately unless otherwise agreed.

Casa México will coordinate delivery and collection by appointment only.

6. Artwork Care

Customers agree to:

  • maintain artwork in safe condition;

  • avoid exposure to direct sunlight, excessive moisture, heat, or unsafe environments;

  • not alter, repair, reframe, or modify artwork in any way;

  • ensure artwork is displayed securely.

7. Damage, Loss, or Theft

Customers are fully responsible for any accidental damage, theft, or loss while artwork is in their possession.

Casa México reserves the right to charge for:

  • repair costs; or

  • replacement value where repair is not possible.

8. Return Condition

Artwork must be returned in the same condition as delivered, subject only to reasonable normal wear.

Casa México reserves the right to inspect all returned artwork before releasing deposit refunds.

9. Recall of Artwork

If a rented artwork is sold during an active rental term, Casa México reserves the right to recall the artwork with reasonable notice.

In such cases, Casa México will offer either:

  • a suitable replacement artwork; or

  • a prorated refund for unused rental time.

10. Purchase Option

Customers may purchase rented artwork at any time.

A portion of rental fees may be credited toward purchase price at Casa México’s discretion.

11. Default / Non-Return

Failure to return artwork on the agreed return date may result in:

  • forfeiture of security deposit;

  • additional rental charges;

  • legal recovery action if necessary.

12. Rental Approval

All rentals are subject to artwork availability and final approval by Casa México.

Casa México reserves the right to refuse rental requests at its discretion.

13. Acceptance

By completing a rental transaction through Casa México, the customer confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.
